Entry Formality
Foreigners other than Indian nationals must hold a valid passport to enter Nepal. For a Nepalese visa, you are advised to contact the nearest Royal Nepalese Embassy or Consulate. However, tourist visas can also be obtained at the point of entry.
Currency
There are foreign currency exchange countries at many popular travel destinations. Please note that it is illegal to exchange foreign currency with unauthorised foreign exhange dealers.
Time
Nepal is 5 hours and 45 minutes ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, and 15 minutes ahead of Indian Standard Time.
